My Library!

I finally got to unpack my books from Madinah, alhamdulillah. I left 2 and a half years ago, but didnt get to organize them until recently. I believe every student of knowledge, after graduating, should have a library relevant to his specializations.

During one's studies, books should be selected carefully, i.e. books that one will actually use in the future for research and teaching. To have a huge library of books foreign to one's specializations, which will never be used, are not of much benefit either.

I clearly notice the benefit of having a private library now, and the vast majority of it is very relevant to my pusposes. As an advice to others: If I were to do it over again (I was in Madinah from 2014-2023), I would have been a little bit more careful about the books I would select in the beginning, making the collection even more relevant to my current research and teaching. I would probably delay buying books 2-3 years, to make sense of what books should be priorotized.
